Eden 2025 Annual Conference

Howes Studio addressing educators in Italy on AI & museums.

EdTech organizations developing AI tools for learning in the humanities will maximize impact by integrating (museum) digital resources into model training and collaborating with humanities professionals on agent behavior design.

Deb Howes presents at the University of Bologna, Italy on June 16 during the 2025 annual conference of EDEN, Europe’s largest network for advancing digital education.  Her goal is to persuade EU digital educators and EdTech companies to partner with museums when developing AI-enabled learning products in the Humanities. Read an abstract of her pitch below.

At the end of June, she will teach post-graduate students at the University of Rome Tor Vergata and Roma Tre University on how museums can leverage collection materials and metadata to strengthen their educational impact in all the places that will soon incorporate artificially intelligent systems, including classrooms, galleries and online information sites. Our recent blog post contains her talk.
